JOB SUMMARY:

The Health and Wellness Coach will play a pivotal role in developing and managing health and wellness activities tailored to the Afghan community’s unique needs. This position is responsible for ensuring access to essential resources and services that support overall well-being. Key program areas include food security, sports and physical activity, and emotional support groups.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

• Develop and manage comprehensive health and wellness programs, including food, sports, and support groups.
• Ensure community members have access to necessary mental, physical, and emotional health resources.
• Collaborate with local organizations, healthcare providers, and community leaders to expand and enhance service offerings.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to meet community needs.
• Conduct outreach to engage community members in health and wellness activities.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in health and wellness program management, community health, or related field.
• Strong understanding of the cultural, social, and health needs of the Afghan community.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse groups.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
• Proficiency in Dari or Pashto is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Nutrition, Exercise Science, or related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications in health coaching, wellness, or nutrition are highly desirable.
