Legal Services Navigator
Afghan Support Network (ASN) is seeking dedicated Legal Services Navigator, the position holder will play a critical role in assisting Afghan refugees and immigrants with their legal needs, particularly around immigration. This role involves providing legal referrals, helping individuals understand and navigate documentation, assisting with applications, and conducting workshops on key legal topics. The Navigator will also contribute to administrative projects as ASN builds its legal services department. A valid driver’s license and background check are also required.
Data Officer
ASN is seeking a Data Officer to support and strengthen the organization’s data systems, reporting infrastructure, and program evaluation efforts in support of our programs. The position holder will work with Development Department & closely collaborate with all ASN Programs & Teams, the Data Officer will manage Salesforce CRM systems, support grant and HRSN reporting, maintain accurate and secure data practices, and assist with organizational publications, dashboards, and impact reporting. The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively across departments, and experience with data management systems & reporting tools in a fast-paced, community-centered environment.
Volunteer Coordinator
ASN is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to help lead and strengthen its volunteer program in support of Afghan refugees, immigrants, and underserved households & community in the Portland Metropolitan area, Oregon and SW Washington. Reporting to the Development Director, the Volunteer Coordinator will help recruit, organize, support volunteers, manage volunteer engagement, and ensure that volunteers are effectively contributing to community engagement, fundraising, and programmatic success, while contributing to ASN’s community-focused programs and operations. The role calls for strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and fluency in English, with Dari and/or Pashto preferred. A valid driver’s license and background check are also required.
STEAM Tutor
Afghan Support Network (ASN) is seeking dedicated STEAM Tutors to support youth through our RIYSE (Refugee & Immigrant Youth Student Empowerment) Program. Tutors will provide academic support in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, helping students strengthen foundational skills, complete homework, and build confidence. The position reports directly to Youth Program Coordinator and is a part-time position.
Cultural (Native Language) Tutor
Afghan Support Network (ASN) is seeking Cultural (Native Language) Tutors to provide language support, literacy development, and cultural connection for immigrant and refugee students through the RIYSE Program. Tutors will work with students in Dari/Farsi, Pashto, Arabic, Urdu, and other Arabic scripture languages to strengthen reading, writing, and communication skills while supporting cultural identity and belonging. The position reports directly to Youth Program Coordinator and is a part-time position.
Driver Education Coordinator
Afghan Support Network (ASN) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Driver Education Coordinator. This part-time position encompasses teaching driving skills, leading instructional permit classes in Pashto and Dari, and providing interpretation assistance to individuals seeking permits and licenses. The Driver Education Coordinator will play a crucial role in empowering newly arrived Afghan refugees to overcome language and cultural barriers, enabling them to obtain driving permits and licenses confidently and safely.
